Maruti Suzuki Fronx Launch date
Maruti Suzuki Fronx, an upcoming SUV coupe based on the Baleno platform, will be the first major launch by the Indo-Japanese automaker this year. The car will be sold through the Nexa dealership network and is expected to hit the market in March 2023.
Availability
It will be available in five trims: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha.
With an expected entry-level price of Rs 8 lakh and a fully-loaded variant priced at around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), the Fronx will compete with multiple cars including the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.

The Punch, Magnite, and Kiger have currently priced between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.23 lakh.
The Fronx will come with either a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol Boosterjet engine or a 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, both with mild hybrid technology.
The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine will be available in Sigma, Delta, and Delta+ trims with a standard manual gearbox, while the AMT can be had in the Delta and Delta+ trims. The turbo-petrol motor will be available in Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha trims with a standard manual transmission, and an automatic gearbox will be offered on the Zeta and Alpha trims.
The top-end Alpha trims will have exclusive features such as a 360-degree camera, Head-Up Display (HUD), cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and dual-tone exterior colours. Other features of the Fronx include a wireless charger, a 6-speaker sound system, coloured MID in the instrument cluster, height-adjustable driver’s seat, rear AC vents, fast USB charging points, Suzuki-connected car features, rearview camera, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity.
